Missouri Congressman Eric Burlison has announced that he has obtained approval from the White House and Pentagon to visit classified locations purportedly storing and studying recovered non-human spacecraft. The approval covers sites linked to whistleblower reports of reverse-engineering programs, stored vehicles, and biological materials connected to these claims. Burlison identified several defense contractors suspected of involvement, including Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Mitre, and EG&G. These sites reportedly fall under Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s authority and may include embedded intelligence agencies alongside private contractors.
Despite holding a top-level security clearance as a House Oversight Committee member, Burlison does not serve on intelligence or armed services committees, restricting his ability to enter Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) without special permission—a constraint that makes White House approval for direct facility visits particularly significant. Burlison’s pursuit aligns with testimony from credible sources such as Dr. James Lacatski, former manager of the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program (AAWSAP), who has publicly stated that the U.S. possesses an unknown-origin craft with aerodynamic features unlike any conventional aircraft. Astrophysicist Dr. Eric Davis, also linked to AAWSAP, testified that multiple global powers have experienced crashes and recoveries of non-Earth craft. Burlison has further shared classified details reportedly involving a large object housed by an allied nation, potentially in South Korea, that required construction of a building around it, with workers unaware of its presence. Additionally, Burlison released footage showing a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone firing a missile at an unidentified object off Yemen in 2024; despite the strike, the object continued to fly. Luis Elizondo, formerly of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), has described a secretive multi-decade arms race involving UAP technologies held by the U.S. and other nations. Burlison’s approved site visits represent a possible first instance of direct congressional physical oversight of such sensitive programs and facilities.
The developments highlight ongoing efforts within the U.S. government to investigate unexplained aerial phenomena and related advanced technologies under conditions of extreme secrecy. Over recent decades, varying degrees of official interest and disclosure have fueled public and political debates about the origins, nature, and implications of unidentified aerial phenomena worldwide. Congressional access to these facilities could mark a new phase in oversight and transparency regarding what has historically been a highly classified area of defense and intelligence operations.
