Alien Mantids
Mantis aliens (or Mantids) are a frequently reported, often insectoid, type of alien in abduction lore, characterized by their tall (up to 9 ft), slender, praying-mantis-like appearance, large heads, and, usually, dark, compound eyes. They are often described as commanding, intelligent, and operating in a supervisory role, sometimes overseeing Gray aliens during abductions.
