European UAP Reporting Expands Significantly in 2025 with New Data Integration

The 2025 update of European Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) sightings marks a major expansion in data collection and geographical coverage compared to previous years. This report now includes information from 37 European countries, up from just 11 in the last edition. Five countries—Czech Republic, Greece, Spain, Portugal, and Ukraine—have been newly incorporated through revitalized or newly created national organizations. Additionally, the cooperation with MUFON, the world’s largest civilian UFO investigation network, allowed access to data from 21 countries previously unrepresented, adding over 3,300 reported events from 2019 to 2024.

Officially, the EuroUFO Barometer distinguishes between national-level data, which is used for longitudinal analysis, and MUFON-sourced reports, presented in tabular form to highlight baseline activity in countries without dedicated national frameworks. The report stresses that most reported UAP cases correspond to identifiable natural or man-made phenomena, with only a small fraction remaining unresolved after investigation. National organizations and EuroUFO.net serve as coordinating and stabilizing platforms to mitigate the systemic fragmentation in UAP data collection across Europe. However, gaps persist, notably in the United Kingdom and Italy for 2024 reporting.

This comprehensive update improves understanding of continental UAP reporting dynamics by integrating broader and more inclusive datasets while maintaining methodological rigor. It highlights the importance of cross-border collaboration and sustained organizational efforts amid evolving technological and social factors influencing sightings. This development is a key step in addressing Europe’s historical challenges in achieving harmonized, transparent UAP data collection and analysis, facilitating future investigative and scientific work on anomalous aerial phenomena.
