The Italian Center for UFO Studies (CISU) has completed the geo-localization of nearly 1,000 documented UFO sightings across the Puglia region, making the data accessible online. This effort builds on the comprehensive regional catalog compiled over almost four decades by Lello Cassano, which was first published in book form in 2022. Each case entry now includes detailed information such as the exact location, date, witness reports, documentary sources, and sometimes illustrations or photographs of the phenomenon.
This geo-localization initiative is among the first of its kind in Italy and follows a limited number of similar offerings from international organizations like Enigma Labs and MUFON. It enables witnesses and researchers to explore sightings from specific locations and compare reports over time. The new service is available via a dedicated page on the CISU website, enhancing both accessibility and engagement with regional UFO research.
